To Whom It May Concern.. . .
If you are reading this, you have the great good fortune to be considering awarding a project to Mr. Reggie Chapman of A-Trick Construction. I had the good sense to do just that in July and August of 1993. Having considered, with some frustration, a number of proposals for the remodeling of our home, I happened upon Mr. Chapman through the yellow pages. Having interviewed him, and gotten a proposal for the work my wife and I wanted done, I was satisfied that I wanted Mr. Chapman to do the work.
We found Reggie to be honest, a hard worker, a person who took as much interest in our home as we did. Ple left for a long weekend while painting was going en, satisfied that Reggie would take care of our home as if it was his own.. .and partly, too, for Reggies sake. You see, Reggie routinely cleaned up after himself each day so that we would have as little disruption as possible during a very disrupting period. There were even times, while Reggie worked on restoring us to grandeur, that our maid service came in for their weekly cleaning.
Reggie would find little things wrong, things that I didn't notice, and fix them without being asked, or asking for compensation. He fixed a small plumbing leak, the gate to our backyard, an electrical plug.. .all things outside the contract.
The fact is.. .my wife and I were so impressed, and so pleased with Mr. Chapmans work ethic, his conduct, honesty and integrity.. .his sheer artistry. . .that we felt compelled to give him a bonus of $500 for a job well done.
